MODERNIZATION OF HISTORICAL CONSCIOUSNESS AS A FACTOR OF UNITY AND HARMONY OF KAZAKH SOCIETY
Under this name, a regional scientific and practical conference was held at Atyrau State University named after Khalel Dosmukhamedov on November 7, 2019. Its organizers: the Secretariat of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the communal state institution Kazakhstan «Қоғамдық келісім» of the apparatus of Governor of Atyrau region, Atyrau State University named after Khalel Dosmukhamedov.
The conference was attended by representatives of the scientific and expert community from universities of Kazakhstan, ethnocultural associations, public organizations, student youth, mass media.
The purpose of the event was the scientific coverage and popularization among the general public and youth of key provisions of the program articles of the First President of Kazakhstan devoted to modernization of public and historical consciousness; Generalization of the experience of studying and using the historical and cultural heritage of the people to strengthen the Kazakhstani identity and unity of the nation.
With a welcoming speech from the First Deputy Governor of Atyrau region S.Zh. Shapkenov acted by the head of the Secretariat of the APK of the Atyrau region G.M. Shakirova.
The plenary session was conducted by the Vice-Rector for Science of the Atyrau State University named after Khalel Dosmukhamedov, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor S.N. Idrissov.
Reports were made at the conference: on the role of historical figures in modernization of historical consciousness - Director of the Center «Рухани жаңғыру» of Aktobe University named after S. Baishev, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor M.O. Mirov; about historical and cultural bases of formation of the Kazakh people - the head of department of ancient and medieval history, the leading researcher of Institute of History and Ethnology of Sh.Sh. Valikhanov , Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the candidate of historical sciences Y.M. Uzhkenov (Almaty); about the program «Рухани жаңғыру» as the basis of inter-ethnic harmony and unity of the people of Kazakhstan - Associate Professor of the Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after S. Seyfullin, Candidate of Historical Sciences K.V. Dzhumagaliyeva (Nur-Sultan); about changes in the socio-political life of the Atyrau region in 1920-1940, in archival documents - S.O. Kuanysh, Director of the Atyrau Regional State Archive, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor; On the potential of research structures of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in modernization of public and historical consciousness - Director of the Research Institute of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstanof the Atyrau State University named after Khalel Dosmukhamedov, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Zh.U. Kydyralina; on projects in the sphere of inter-ethnic harmony within the framework of the implementation of the program of spiritual renewal of the society - manager of the Atyrau regional project office «Рухани жаңғыру» ,Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor A.U. Yermagambetova.
The speakers reports aroused a keen interest of the audience, in their discussion took part not only scientists of higher educational institutions and research institutes of the republic, but also heads of ethnocultural associations of the region: head of the Russian ethnocultural association" Былина "A.A. Korablev, head of the Azerbaijani ethnocultural association E.A. Mammadov and others.
During the panel discussions the issues of further study of history and culture, the continuity of the traditions of ethnic groups of Kazakhstan, formation of historical consciousness among the younger generation were touched upon.
After the plenary session, the work of the conference was continued in the format of a ‘round table’ in the regional library named after G. Slanov on the theme "The role of archival documents in the study of the history of Atyrau region in the Soviet period in the light of the implementation of the programs "Рухани жаңғыру" and " Archive-2025". The presentation of the collection of documents "Socio- political life of Kazakhstan in documents of the state archive of the Atyrau region (1920-1940) took place. The publication includes previously unpublished sources from the history of political repressions in the region, which provide an opportunity to consider the mechanisms of state repressive policies in relation to various groups of the population.
The dialogue platform provided much useful information to its participants, both for scientific discourse and wide discussion of the most important issues of modernization of public and historical consciousness.
