The tragedy of the people – in memory of people
Director of the Scientific Research Center “Mangіlik Yel”, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor A.Akhmet May 29-31, 2019 took part in the international scientific-practical conference “Historical Lessons of Big Terror and Hunger” held in Almaty in the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated for Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Famine-Genocide and Political Repressions.
The conference was also attended by scientists from the USA, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan. During the conference, the presentation of the book of the scientist-shokanoveda, and the Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor K.L Yesmagambetov "Түркістандық тұтқындар": Құжаттар мен материалдар жинағы (Turkestan prisoners of war: Collection of documents and materials. Almaty: Arys, 2019. - 296 pages.), the editor-in-chief - Professor A. Akhmet.
The second meeting of the international scientific-practical conference was held in the village of Zhanalyk, Almaty region.
D.H.Sc., Professor A.Akhmet spoke at the conference with a report on the life and activity of the outstanding Kazakh figures subjected to political repression.
