LABORATORY OF ANALYSIS OF SOIL, WATER AND PLANTS IN THE ATYRAU REGION

SWAPTEL – is a complex multi-functional laboratory with advanced equipment for analyzing the soil, water and plant. The laboratory is the main part of the project to transform Atyrau State University into a “green campus” - ECO-CAMPUS. The unique laboratory will be the first of its kind not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the entire Caspian region.

MISSION

Provide quality service for analysis, research and recommendations for the agricultural and production sector.

GOAL

Analytical support (through high-quality scientific analyzes of soil, water and plants) of educational and research projects aimed at the environmental and economic development of Atyrau region.

OBJECTIVES

• Conduct a qualitative analysis of local resources of soil, water and plants to identify their condition, composition and problems at the present stage;
• carry out experiments to develop solutions for the qualitative improvement of the soil, water and plants;
• Increasing the environmental awareness of the local population through the organization of training seminars on the basics of soil management, gardening, use of drinking water and respect for the environment;
• Work with the rural population in the field of environmental education through available information materials and resources;
• Active involvement of young people in environmental issues and projects;
• Creating a pool of expert scientists to conduct environmental-oriented research and development of training activities;
• Improving the quality of environmental education at the university through upgrade training of teachers;
• Providing information support to the representatives of agribusiness in the development of organic farming, which will allow capacity building of the Atyrau region in the field of social entrepreneurship;
• Assistance in development and formation of a positive image of the Atyrau region as an ecologically clean region.

DURING TWO YEARS AFTER THE OPENING OF SWAPTEL, IT WILL BE ABLE TO GET THE ACCREDITATION AND SPECIAL STATUS OF THE NATIONAL LABORATORY.
