Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, as part of a working trip to Atyrau region, got acquainted with the preparatory work at evacuation points at universities in the region and visited the places of resettlement of citizens who moved from flooded territories and dormitories where military personnel who arrived to help temporarily live. Atyrau university named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov and Atyrau university of Oil and Gas named after S. Utebayev have prepared places in dormitories for the resettlement of citizens evacuated during an emergency situation, as well as places for those who arrived to help the region. The rector of Atyrau university named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov reported that the university has prepared 860 places for people evacuated due to the flood in the city of Kulsary. To date, about a dozen people from two families resettled from the Zhyloy district have been accommodated in safe places designated for this purpose. According to Gulzada Shakulikova, rector of the S. Utebayev university of Oil and Gas, the university has prepared 300 beds in the Students' House to accommodate military personnel sent to assist the region. In general, due to the emergency situation declared in Atyrau region, 2,000 soldiers were brought from other regions of the country to combat the elements.
