Kanat Auesbai, professor of the journalism department of the Atyrau university named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov, was awarded the badge "For Merits in the development of science" by the Ministry of science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The highest award was presented on April 12 in Astana at the L.Gumilev Eurasian national university. The award ceremony was held at the international scientific conference "Science and Education-2024" dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the outstanding scientist K. Satpayev at the L.Gumilev Eurasian national university. In a solemn ceremony, the badge was presented by Vice Minister of science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki. It should be noted that Kanat Auesbai is an experienced specialist, teacher-scientist, candidate of philological sciences with 20 years of experience in the field of media and higher education (specialty code: 10.01.10 - journalism). Over the years, he worked at the Al-Farabi Kazakh national university, the L.Gumilev Eurasian national university, the Atyrau university of Oil and Gas named after S. Utebayeva as a teacher, senior lecturer, associate professor, vice-rector at oil and gas universities. He is also a researcher in the field of information, the author of numerous scientific articles, including articles included in the scientific database "Scopus". It is worth noting that the book "Great Britain through the eyes of Kazakhs is Looking west". "A Kazakh's view of Great Britain" was published in Kazakh and English in London and presented at the university of Cambridge (UK, 2016). K. Auesbai completed a scientific and pedagogical internship in the UK as part of the international scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Bolashak" (University of East England, Norwich, 2013-2014). Chairman of the state attestation commission for the Defense of Master's theses at the faculty of journalism and political science of the Eurasian national university (2023), corresponding member of the Kazakhstan academy of pedagogical sciences (since 2018), member of the educational and methodological association of the Republican educational and methodological council (UMO Rums - 032 journalism and Information, 2019-2021). Member of the expert commission for training personnel abroad within the framework of the "Bolashak" program (2019-2021). He was also the supervisor of many theses, dissertations, and a member of the dissertation council who studied the media sphere. As a media expert, K. Auesbai is a consultant on section III "media literacy and financial literacy" of the textbook "global competence" for grades 5-9 of secondary school (Arman-PV publishing house, Almaty, 2024), conducts numerous author's workshops, media training and a seminar for media representatives. At the initiative of Kanat Auesbai, in 2019, a media auditorium of the famous media manager, journalist Aitkali Kumargaliuly was opened in the building of the Atyrau TV and radio channel. K. Auesbai was awarded the diploma of the Minister of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2019), the medal "80 years of Al-Farabi Kazakh national university" for his contribution to the development of the university (2015).
