В этом году при поддержке ректора АтГУ им.Х.Досмухамедова А.Талтенова была создана новая студенческая баскетбольная команда.
The strongest student teams competed for a national title in Almaty, on April 21-25. Hard work and perseverance paid off and the ASU team for the first time became the Champion of Kazakhstan in basketball, whilst ASU coach, Rustem Tuleuov, was named the Best coach.
