Funding opportunities
Our scientists participate in the research activities of the university in various fields of science. The main directions of the University's research activities correspond to the priority directions of development of the Atyrau region and the Republic of Kazakhstan. Research is carried out annually with financial support from the Kazakhstan Government, Atyrau State University and Various External sources.

ATYRAU STATE UNIVERSITY GRANTS
University grant funding program (Regulation on the University grant funding competition)
University grant funding program addresses basic and applied research and is available to all faculty members and ASU researchers (ASU undergraduate, graduate students may be involved) to support the advancement of knowledge in all areas of research. The program was initiated in 2020 and is one of the funding instruments of ASU to advance its research excellence.
The Program supports any basic and applied research at ASU that is of significant intellectual merit and societal outcomes for Atyrau region and Kazakhstan society. The call is not focused on specific research fields and seeks to support ASU faculty and department members in their research, and to encourage their teaching and research careers.

EU HORIZON 2020 GRANTS:
The European Commission invests almost €16 billion in research and innovation in 2016-2017 under Horizon 2020, the EU’s research and innovation funding scheme, following a new work programme for 2016-2017 adopted on 13 October 2015. For more information, please see the documents below:
