Round table dedicated to the day of remembrance of victims of political repression and famine

On May 31, Atyrau University named after Kh.Dosmukhamedov hosted a round table on the topic: «The tragedy of the people in the years of disasters: problems of historical memory and research». The event was attended by members of the assembly of people of Kazakhstan, scientific expert group, teaching staff, vice - rector for science and international relations Elaman Kanatovich Aiboldinov, deputy head of the Department of internal policy of Atyrau region Zliha Elubayevna Talasbekova and Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Committee on agrarian issues Avetik Rubenovich Amirkhanyan.

During the meeting, the Majilis deputy noted the changes that the national referendum, scheduled for June 5, will bring to the country's economy and politics, and gave answers to the most pressing questions asked by the participants.

Director of the Institute of the assembly of people of Kazakhstan Zhanna Urkinbayevna, doctor of historical sciences Leskali Bazargalievich, director of the Research Center "Rukhani zhangyru" Zhamiga Tazhikovna and candidate of historical sciences Zhumaziya Kenzhebayevna, doctor of historical sciences Ulzhan Tulegenovna, chairman of the Russian ethno-cultural association "Bylina" Andrey Alexandrovich made speeches at the meeting in order to convey the difficult fate of the people during the years of repression.

At the end of the event, the winners of the regional creative competition among students were determined in writing an essay «Otbasy tarikhy-El tarikhy», dedicated to the day of remembrance of victims of political repression and famine. According to the results of the competition, the third place was won by Akkun Sembayeva and Gulnaz Arystanova, the second place was won by Rakhat Kali and the first place was awarded by Zhanaray Kalim. At the same time, letters of thanks were presented to Ayymzhan Zamirova, Altynai Zhakypbek, Elvira Balgabayeva and Aruna Satybaldykyzy for their activity.
