The teaching staff of the department carry out various research works:
1. "AР08957363 Economic assessment of energy supply in the housing sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (GF, Head - PhD, acting assoc.professors Kenzhegalieva Z.Zh., performers – master Igalieva L.N., master Zhubanova S.B., doctoral student Makhanov S.S.).
2. "Improvement of the financial mechanism of the organization of social protection and employment of the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan in conditions of uncertainty" (Intra–university project, head - Candidate of Economics, Acting Assoc.professors Utepkaliyeva K.M., performers – acting assoc.professors Adietova E.M., masters – Dariskaliyeva M.S., Aldeshova S.M., Kanatova A.Zh., master's student Bekbolat And).
3. "The economic mechanism of housing and communal services development in ensuring environmental safety (on the example of Atyrau)" (intra-university project, head - PhD, acting assoc.professors Kenzhegaliyeva Z.Zh., performers – Candidate of Economics Mussaeva A.A., master Igaliyeva L.N., Master Zhubanova S.B.).
Research works:
Under the guidance of Ph.D. in Economics, Acting Associate Professor Akhmetova G.T. and PhD, senior lecturer Akhmetova A.S., a scientific school "Modern trends in the development of the financial system and accounting" was established.
In 2020, in the Republican competition for the best scientific work of students in natural-technical, socio-humanitarian and economic sciences, a student of the department N. Nissimbayev was awarded a diploma of the II degree (Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan).

In 2020, under the guidance of Ph.D. in Economics, Acting Associate Professor Adietova E.M. and senior lecturer Aldeshova S.B., a student of the specialty "UAiBPA" Ubenova Aru took 1st place in the XIII Republican competition of research papers of students of colleges and universities "Gylym sharainasy" (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan).
In 2021, under the guidance of Ph.D. in Economics, Acting Associate Professor Adietova E.M., senior teachers Aldeshova S.B., Dariskalieva M.S., students of the specialty "Finance and Analytics" Zhumakhmetov Aizada and Musayev Akbot took 1st place in the Republican contest of scientific works of schoolchildren and students "Zhas galym" (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan).
In 2021, under the guidance of Ph.D. in Economics, Acting Associate Professor Akhmetova G.T., students of the Department of Finance and Accounting Atabayeva Leila, Kuzenyatkina Valeria, Margaryan Tsovinar took the honorable 2nd place in the International Online Olympiad "Finance: Vector of the future", conducted by the educational program "Finance" of the University "Turan".
In 2022, under the guidance of PhD, Acting Associate Professor Kenzhegalieva Z.Zh. student of the Department of Finance and Accounting Zhumakhmetova Aizada took 1st place in the XV Republican Student subject Olympiad on the educational program "Finance" (Turan University, Almaty).

In 2022, under the guidance of PhD, Acting Associate Professor Kenzhegalieva Z.Zh. and PhD, Acting Associate Professor Akhmetova G.T., students of the department Margaryan Tsovinar, Atabayeva Leila, Kuzenyatkina Valeria took 1st place in the International Scientific Olympiad on insurance 1st place (Kazan Federal University, Kazan, Russia).
