On the first day of July at Atyrau university named after Kh.Dosmukhamedov held a solemn event dedicated to June 28 – the "Day of Media Workers", where representatives of the field of journalism working in close cooperation with the Atyrau university of the region gathered. The event was attended by media representatives of Atyrau region, press secretaries of the region and the city, head of the journalism department and chairman of the board-rector of the university Salamat Nurmukhanovich. During the meeting, the press secretary of the akim of the Atyrau region Assel Tumashkyzy noted that much attention should be paid not only to the training of students at the university, but also to the exchange of experience on regional TV channels and on the basis of «Atyrau-Akparat» LLP. She also added that together with the students, trainings will be conducted in the offices and departments under the akimat. There will also be free trainings, in August, in the press service of the university for the exchange of experience. During the round table, issues awaiting the decision of the information service of the region were discussed. At the same time, director of «Atyrau-Akparat» LLP Zhasyn Birkenov noted that in addition to the traditional press, it is necessary to work on the development of electronic mass media, and there is also a great demand for SMM specialists, as well as the need for advanced training courses. In addition, the head of the university rector's office Gulfairuz Kairgalievna familiarized with the progress of the university's media center, the head of the journalism department Manshuk Tynyshkalievna demonstrated the success of the students of the department, who have high performance not only in studies, but also showed high activity in the media.
