The faculty of multilingual education was established by the decision of the Academic Council of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau State University dated August 31, 2016 (Protocol No. 1) on the basis of the order of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 338 dated July 13, 2009.
The faculty of multilingual education was established in 1950, foreign language-in 1992, Translation study - in 2001, Philology-in 2004.

The mission of the faculty of multilingual education- Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau State University training of competitive, highly qualified multilingual specialists in accordance with the long-term strategic plan and using modern innovative systems, technologies aimed at the latest training of professional personnel, scientific achievements.
The faculty operates the creative center English Only Space. This center is equipped with unique equipment that reflects the real and life situation for those traveling abroad, a specialized Studio complex for intensive English language learning (airport, University, library, store, cinema, etc.). Practical classes are held in the language and computer rooms.
The faculty has more than a thousand students, among which, in addition to Kazakhs and Russians, there are representatives of other nationalities (Turkey, Georgian, Korean, Tatar, Ossetian, Uzbek).
Students are taught by experienced specialists with high professional qualifications and scientific positions, 40% of them are doctors and professors of science, candidates of science and associate professors.
Well-known personalities of our region and country have worked at the faculty's specialties in different years. In particular: academician-writer Zinolla Kabdolov, candidate of pedagogical Sciences, Professor Sabyr Kazybayev, candidate of philological Sciences, Professor Kuseken Shaukenov, etc.
To date, the faculty has a well-known scientist, holder of the order "Parasat", doctor of Philology, Professor Zhussup Kadyr Utegenovich, holders of the title "Best teacher of the University" Sultangubiyeva Aigul Aitmukhanovna, as well as Abdol Eleonora Doszhankyzy.
The faculty of multilingual education cooperates with universities of the country and near and far abroad in order to improve the skills of scientific and pedagogical staff and improve the professional level of students. Teaching staff and students of the faculty are trained under the international academic mobility program in Kazakhstan, Russia, the United States, England, France, Germany, China, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Turkey, Bulgaria, Poland, Spain, Malaysia, Portugal, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt.
At the faculty there are clubs "Bureau of translators", "Oratory", "Young terminology", "Linguistics and linguoculturology problems", "Drama club". The purpose of the circle is to teach language, speech culture, as well as meeting with foreign embassies and foreign citizens in foreign companies in Atyrau, participate as interpreters at various foreign fairs, and improve their knowledge.
The faculty has a "Student Dean's office" for the purpose of increasing social activity and self-government of students. The composition of the Dean's office works in two directions: the first includes scientific and creative research, the second-cultural and sports direction. The annual work plan of the student Dean's office has been developed, which in turn organizes and conducts events.
